Experience the cultural and arts scene of Long Island in Suffolk County. The spring student exhibition at the Lyceum Gallery of Montaukett Educational Resource Center is an opportunity to appreciate artworks created by talented students from various disciplines such as drawing, 2D design, 3D design, color theory and art appreciation. More than 50 pieces from different mediums and sizes will be exhibited, including works by renowned artists such as Leonardi, Morro, Scott Sandell, Spiegel and Baumiller. Leonardi's ethereal colouristic works are created through an open process that involves painting an initial layer on his canvas followed by attaching patterned paint samples created from accumulated layers of paint.
Morro's photographs, paintings and monoprints are part of collections around the world while Scott Sandell's work is part of prestigious museums such as Walker Art Center or Brooklyn Museum. Spiegel has exhibited his work extensively on Long Island while Baumiller earned a degree in Fine Arts from Kansas City Institute of Art. This exhibition is a great chance to explore Suffolk County's vibrant art scene while appreciating high-level artwork created by talented students. Don't miss this chance to explore this amazing collection! Prospective students are encouraged to view the exhibition to check the high level of competence achieved by students from the Suffolk East Campus Art Department.
