Suffolk County is home to many talented artists who are looking for collaborations on their art projects. There are numerous opportunities available for these artists that can help them create meaningful works of art while also providing them with financial support. From grants offered by foundations such as The Foundation for Arts & Culture in New York City or The Moon & Stars Project grants from Turkey's American Society; to scholarships offered by foundations such as The Anne & Abe Effron Fund; or even programs such as VIA Art Fund which supports international artists; there are many options available for Suffolk County artists looking for collaborations on their art projects. The Foundation for Arts & Culture provides support for capacity building or capital projects that improve the artistic and cultural climate in our communities.
Grants are available for arts & culture programs for children that are based on research or evidence which contribute to their ability to learn. The Moon & Stars Project grants are dedicated to highlighting Turkey's artistic & cultural scene while also establishing two-way cultural interaction between the United States & Turkey. The Turkish American Society awards competitive grants to support emerging & established artists in an effort to promote this intercultural dialogue. Project-specific grants are awarded in support of travel & accommodation for projects exhibited in the U.
S. Con Edison supports organizations & programs across their service territory that contribute to art & culture in a variety of ways; from presenting visual & performing arts to the public; to providing opportunities for art in education. TD Bank's generous funding empowers queer youth from Long Island, Brooklyn & Queens by providing them with a safe space to create art; collaborate with artists & professional mentors; receive unfettered support from the art community; & exhibit their works of art in a professional environment. The program brings together both sides of the creative equation with two parallel training tracks.
The Artist section prepares artists to work collaboratively with agencies, nonprofit organizations & art councils on critical community issues. The agencies section supports government agencies, nonprofit organizations & art councils as they prepare to work with local artists. ArtsWestchester encourages projects that integrate the arts into the curriculum; but curricular integration is not mandatory. Individual artist commissions support the creation of new works with exceptional community participation in the creative process in Cortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga & Oswego counties.
The Anne & Abe Effron Fund supports organizations involved in arts, culture & education in Dutchess County; with special attention to grants that would make facilities & events more available to young people & older people. The Foundation offers scholarships to promote the development of academics & artists; helping them to participate in research in any field of knowledge and creation in any of the arts. After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, the Long Island Art League is proud to host its 65th annual membership exhibition at the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery. The main mission of the Performing Arts Program is to provide support for core programs and special projects to quality organizations in the fields of dance, music and theater that perform or produce works in New York City.
VIA Art Fund supports international artists, curators, non-profit cultural organizations and biennials for the production, exhibition, public dissemination and institutional acquisition of ambitious and pioneering art projects with a far-reaching impact.
